A Herman Avenue resident reported to police on Thursday, Jan. 10 that she had been the victim of a motor vehicle burglary over the holiday season. She said that she last saw a grey backpack with a Chromebook laptop in her Honda Pilot on Dec. 21.
Sometime before Dec. 31, police said that the two items went missing. According to police, the woman read about motor vehicle burglaries on her street, which compelled her to check her Honda, which had been left unlocked in her driveway.
According to police, the laptop has an estimated value of approximately $300. The theft, and several similar other incidents in the area remain under investigation.
